TED LAPIDUS has been flourishing in the world of fragrances for more than 30 years, with four fundamental values identifying each of the brand's fragrances: sensuality, simplicity, quality and nature.
In 1979, a young man barely 20 years of age was amazed to discover a "mini California" near Avignon and, inspired by the wealth of American stock and the occasional second-hand clothes shop, he created his first jacket from an ageing piece of distressed leather (the famous aviator jacket).
CHEVIGNON went on to be highly successful in promoting its founding principles of authenticity and quality.

Ted Lapidus founded the brand in 1951 and was one of the first to popularise fashion such as the “Saharienne” and the “uniform” look.
The brand was taken over by the Jacques Bogart Group in 1998. Since then, Ted Lapidus SA has guided the brand's development and ensured its coherence through licence holders (ready-to-wear, watches, fragrances, leather goods, etc.).
